Previously Manual Processing
At one of our partners, nearly 50 trucks handle daily deliveries to more than 160 locations. The biggest challenge was not the transportation itself, but the complexity of daily route planning: the operator had to take into account time windows, vehicle types and capacities, access permits, as well as drivers’ working hours, all at the same time.
The process previously involved a significant amount of manual work, which meant that organizing the routes and notifying the drivers took 4–5 hours every day. In addition, separate systems and isolated data sources further increased planning time and the risk of errors.
Solution
Tailored to the partner’s needs, we developed the AT System route planning application as part of the AT System. The solution is built on the foundations of AT System Core, which was created as a unified platform, meaning that operations do not have to adapt to the software — the software adapts to the company’s way of working.
The custom-developed module automates route planning, handles logistical complexities efficiently, and quickly generates optimal routes. As a result, what previously took several hours of daily planning can now be completed in just 1–1.5 minutes.
Result
As a result of the development, the daily operational workload was significantly reduced, while the planning process became faster and more transparent. Automated route planning enabled more efficient use of resources, more cost-effective route organization, and less manual intervention.
